Summer fishing in Pensacola is heating up fast, and right now is a prime window for anglers heading offshore or staying closer to the bay. Red Snapper season is in full swing, and boats are coming back with limits daily. These fish are holding steady around reefs and wrecks in the 80–120 ft range, and live bait is outperforming frozen. Be ready for bonus hookups—big triggerfish and vermillion snapper are mixing in too.

Offshore action beyond the edge has been steady with King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, and even a few Wahoo showing up in the bluewater. Trolling ballyhoo and dusters has been producing great results, especially on days with cleaner water and solid temperature breaks. Nearshore, Spanish Mackerel and Bonito are still hanging around the bait pods, and inshore trips are seeing good numbers of speckled trout and redfish early in the mornings.

Hot bite and happy crew! I took Chace and their crew out for a 10 Hour Offshore Adventure In Pensacola with A Latte Fun Fishing on a beautiful June morning. The weather was perfect, with just a few clouds rolling in later in the day. We launched out of Pensacola, FL and headed offshore to some of my favorite fishing spots.

Once the stage was set, we got to work. The crew was eager to get their lines in the water, so we started with some live bait fishing. It didn't take long before we started hooking up with some nice Red Snapper, averaging around 9 inches. We also landed a few Vermilion snapper, with the largest coming in at 7 inches. As the morning progressed, we switched to bottom fishing and started pulling up some quality Red Grouper, including one that measured 13 inches. The highlight of the day, though, was when we hooked into a feisty Great Barracuda that measured 15 inches - what a thrill!

We wrapped up the trip with great memories and smiles all around. What a great day we had on the water today with the crew out of Pensacola Beach! Todd and the 5 other anglers joined me for our 6-Hour Inshore Adventure, and we couldn't have asked for better conditions. November is such a sweet spot for inshore fishing around here, with the cooler weather and calmer seas making it the perfect time to target species like redfish, jack crevalle, grouper, and snapper. 

We launched out of the Mahogany Mill Public Boat Ramp right at 8 AM and had the rods rigged up in no time. The water was beautifully clear, and we could spot baitfish busting the surface as we made our way towards our first spot. I knew the Gray triggerfish and Northern red snapper would be feeding aggressively, so we got the chum slick going and started pitching live baits into the mix. It wasn't long before the group was hooked up, with multiple rods bending over as we put fish in the boat. The guys were all grinning from ear to ear, chatting and swapping stories between catches.

The action stayed steady all morning, with the crew staying on top of the fish. We'd drift and cast, then pick up and move to the next honey hole when the bite slowed down. I loved watching the guys dial in their technique, learning how to work the live baits and feel for that unmistakable thump of a hungry snapper or triggerfish. They were a quick learning bunch, and by the end of the trip, everyone was casting and setting hooks like seasoned pros. We ended up with a great mixed bag, with the triggerfish and reds being the stars of the show.
